Day 10 - Carthage, Nauvoo, and Madison County

We started our day by visiting the jail in Carthage. It was a very powerful experience.
This statue of Joseph and Hyrum stands in the courtyard.
Carthage Jail - The top window is the one Joseph fell through.
After Carthage we went to Nauvoo. It was alot bigger then I imanaged. We were only able to go to a few of the old buildings and the Temple. I had the opportunity to go into the foyer of the temple and it is beautiful.

After Nauvoo we started on our long drive to North Platte, Nebraska. We decided to do a bit of site seeing in Iowa and try to find some covered bridges in Madison County. After many a mile on dirt roads we found the most famous covered bridge. Roseman Bridge.
